PITTSBURGH, PA – July 12, 2017 – Eat’n Park Hospitality Group Inc., has won the 2017 Food Allergy Award in the Best Food Allergy Training category by AllerTrain™. AllerTrain by MenuTrinfo is a leader in food allergy and gluten-free training.
The AllerTrain 2017 Food Allergy Awards honor restaurants and universities that are at the forefront of food allergy safety standards and training. Eat’n Park was chosen as a winner because of the company’s commitment to education and the depth of training provided to its team members.
“We are proud to receive national recognition for our food-allergy training,” says Bill Moore, Director of Safety and Security, Eat’n Park Hospitality Group. “We work diligently to ensure the safety of all of our guests and clients who place a great deal of trust in us. We do all we can to continue to earn that trust every day, and this recognition validates our efforts.”
Eat’n Park Hospitality Group has a long history of leadership in food-allergy training. The company was one of the first in the nation to have its safety team certified as trainers in MenuTrinfo’s Master Training Certification.
Among the innovative approaches Eat’n Park Hospitality Group uses is a company-wide Superhero Safety Initiative, aimed at supporting the corporate goal of providing a safe working environment and doing it in a fun way. Through the initiative, more than 250 Eat’n Park Hospitality Group managers and assistant managers achieved AllerTrain certification.
“The quality of nominations we received was overwhelming, and choosing the winners was extremely difficult,” says Betsy Craig, CEO, MenuTrinfo. “Eat’n Park’s Superhero Safety Initiative stood out to us because it was a fun, innovative way to make an impact on team members, who therefore show much more empathy and care for their guests.”
