Women's Inclusion Group Panel

In celebration of Women’s History Month, our Women’s Inclusion Group hosted a panel discussion featuring three women-owned businesses that we partner with through our Parkhurst “Forged Partners” program.

At Parkhurst, we believe that the decisions we make regarding where our food comes from, how it’s sourced, and how it’s prepared have a direct impact on the health of our communities, environment, and guests. Because of this, our “Know Your Source” purchasing philosophy is critical to the way we do business. And our Forged Partner Program is a critical pillar of this philosophy. Learn more about our Know Your Source philosophy and Forged Partner Program here!

Our Forged Partners are values-aligned, family and independently owned artisan makers that we hand-select and build close relationships with. They allow us to introduce our Parkhurst guests to unique and exciting products!

Woven into their insights on smart business practices and creating quality products, we heard inspiring stories of how they are also supporting other women in their entrepreneurial dreams.

We are so proud to partner with Apryl Niksch, Michiko Thwe, Sara Holby, and many other incredible women-owned businesses in our Forged Partner catalog to provide unique and delicious food items to our guests.

This Women’s History Month, we celebrate the women who have left their mark all across our 75-year history – our team members, leaders, and partners!

Meet the three women who joined our panel discussion:
Sara Holby: Her tea and coffee business, Ajiri Tea creates employment for women in Kenya!
Michiko Thwe: Her business, Sushi Awarsei, uses a franchise model to equip immigrants to become entrepreneurs!
Apryl Niksch: Apryl owns and operates an all-natural specialty baking company, Vintage Baked Modern! WING/DEI Panel
